| | | heron and frog went on a day trip to edinburgh tuesday,
(day trip from bournemouth! i hear you cry! found some cheap flights so why not we thought)
anyway while taking in the botanical gardens we came across this heron sat next to a pond (didnt seem to care about anyone walking by) while i sat and watched he suddenly grabbed this poor frog from the water,
unfortunatley due to the frantic movement i didnt get a very sharp pic but good all the same |

| | | Re: heron and frog great shots. I got some similar photos at Richmond park last Saturday. We saw it catch 2 frogs when we entered and it was still there and caught another when we were heading out |

| | | Re: heron and frog This morning I noticed a Heron being mobbed by 8 Ring-necked Parakeets + when I looked closely at the Heron with bins I noticed it was carrying a frog in its beak. I was surprised it was carrying it + not swallowed it. |

| | | Re: heron and frog I am a bit of a wimp but brilliant pics.I am always amazed as to the patience of this bird.We once left home to go shopping and 2 hours later on our return, it was in the same position. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
