Feeding station too succesful!

I filled up my feeders yesterday. In 24 hours, an entire tube of sunflower seeds and half a long tube of niger seeds has gone - greedy so and sos! Couldn't they go for the cheaper stuff?!

lol,it'll get worse in a few months when they all bring their new offspring to your feeders!!!

And there was me chuffed that the introduction of niger feeders over the winter had increased my visitors. That and switching to a different brand of fatballs. Those are disappearing fast at the moment. Just waiting for OH to see the bird feeding bill and whinge that I spend more on their food than I do on his

The niger and peanuts are a favourite at my station too with the ordinary mixed seed being ignored

I don't even bother with the mixed seed any more - it gets completely ignored except by the mice

I wish something would come and have a go at the niger in my garden, Madeline! Though I can't complain, the LTT's are regular visitors these last few days, great to see! They go for the suet pellets, nuts and fatcake!

Enjoy your birds and forget the cost!

No worries on that front I expect! They're probably at the fat balls when I'm not looking and it's not the starlings and jackdaws depleting resources after all.
