| | | Redwings In Garden Wow had a flock of about 8 redwings at the bottom of the garden today, searching through leaf litter for snails and insects I think.
Was not sure at first, I only caught a glimpse of one with red under wing when it flew into a tree and together with the cream eye stripe this clinched it.
Anyway a first for me;
ALso got a picture of a sparrowhawk perched on neighbours windowsill,, so now I know where it sits in wait for an opportunity to strike. . I must get a better camera though only got a simple compact at the moment, and the pics not brilliant.: |

| | | Re: Redwings In Garden I too had curious sighting in the gardens of the local supermarket last saturday afternoon.
The bird in question scrabbled for ages under the bushes before emerging with a half filled black plastic sack. She then quickly entered her car and flew away.
Gosh its been at least 6 years since I spotted a pair of redwings...Lucky you. |  | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
