How lucky, I've only ever seen a solitary waxwing, this must have been a really great moment

Yes, I've not seen anything like it before. A complete new species for me and so many! My first thought was it was a local conoly, but I read Waxwings don't breed in this country. The only birds I've seen behaving in numbers like this (on trees) are Starlings and Sparrows (and possibly Magpies). Blackbirds only seem to appear in groups of around 8 at most - after breeding I guess and those I've only seen on the ground.
