marbury cp. help
planning a visit to marbury cp, cheshire this week,(friday) could anybody give me a general location, for the green woodpecker, and also where is the bittern hide, many thanks, denn.

Hi Den,once at Marbury there is a map and leaflets available from the wardens hut.
The Bittern can (sometimes!) be viewed from the mere side birdhide which overlooks the reed bed there as can Water Rail and LSW.
Green Woodpecker can be seen at the adjacent Neumanns Flash/Anderton reserves.
You'll find a lot of info about all the local reserves here.
