| | | Long Eared Owls- Mission Accomplished It was second time lucky for me, caught the right train to blackpool north went straight to the roost, met a guy from just up the road from me who had the same idea to get some pictures before they scarpered to their breeding ground, cue big grins all round
After an hour of viewing and chatting he offered me a lift to Leighton Moss which i gratefully accepted, as long as i showed him where the Firecrest was in Stanley Park which i duly did
Picked up a nice Goldcrest that was hanging around the same area
So a first for me with the LEOs and only my second ever Firecrest with an almost, twenty year gap in between i really have to get out more
Then it was off up the A6 bending each others ears about our planned missions for the coming year, weather was dreadful but i was already ecstatic about the days outcome so anything else would be a bonus so a slightly improved Marsh Tit fell into that category
Plus a nice Little Egret
along with views of
Peregrine,2 Sparrowhawks, 2 Merlin, Red Deer and the Starling roost minus one due to Sprawk intervention it was worth missing the football for
Frank

| | | Re: Long Eared Owls- Mission Accomplished Wonderful Frank. Great shots! You must be exhausted after all that. Love the LEO and the firecrest, but I'd be very pleased with any one of your shots, myself.
