| | | Robin on Peanut Feeder
Well I've read of robins on seed feeders but today I saw a very nimble robin fly onto a cylindrical mesh peanut feeder. 
He even stayed on long enough for me to get out a pair of binoculars to confirm I wasn't seeing things.
Anyone else seen this before?  |

Our robins do the same as do the chaffinches but only for a few seconds, I watched seven Long Tailed Tits today all hanging onto a fat ball and feeding.

I saw a Robin use our seed feeder the other day, but I don't think I've seen one on the peanut feeders.
A male blackbird has learned how it can get at the fat balls in a feeder, by perching on the adjacent branch of a bush. It seems quite addicted to them! |

Our robins had no fear of the round peanut feeder we did have. He (she?) also enjoys the sunflower heart feeders and the suet feeders, actually getting quite agile for a robin, being able to hang on there for quite a while. We have a perfectly good bird table with the same foods (except for the whole peanuts obviously), but it prefers the feeders. | | |
