| | | Having a lark does you good. If you know Kent at all, then you may understand how much development is going on, particularly road re-alignments and construction work in general. Well, there's a glimmer of hope to be pleased about.
Whilst I loaded shopping into the car, at a supermarket next to the motorway (well, not right next to the motorway, as it's been moved) I heard the unmistakeable sound of a skylark rising into the air and staying there a while. I located it, a little dot way up and then watched it drop...right into the newly laid out 'green space' which was once the motorway.
I have to admit to being more than a bit peeved, when the hawthorns were grubbed up alongside the 'old' motorway and really angry when some ancient woodland was marked up for felling and desperate when the field that the lapwings used turned into a railway line!
But this little skylark sort of reassured me, that no matter what, nature will do it's best to come back to us.
Bring on the rest.
