| | | riverside CP wader I saw a few of these waders at riverside CP (n. kent) on Monday. Is its a grey plover?

In this case CP = Country Park.
I still always think "Gun-Shot Wound" before "Great Spotted Woodpecker" when people use GSW, but that's just cause I watch too many American TV dramas!

It's just that these abbreviations will not be known by new comers to the world of wildlife and may feel a little embarrassed to ask, in case they look daft. |
