| | | BTO Tawny Owl Survey Is anyone taking part in the subject survey?
It started this week, and runs until 1st April 2006. All it involves is spending 20 minutes or so each week on one night listening out for owls, and making a note of the type of call heard (a hooting call, or a kee-wick call)
For more information contact the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) http://www.bto.org/gbw/Tawny_Owl_Survey/index.htm |

| | | I thought about joining but the BTO site is very unhelpful and apparently you have to pay to join in their survey. Sorry BTO, but I'll just enjoy my Tawny Owls for free!

| | | Fair do's.
It's possible the suvey is available to people who aren't part of the BTO Gardenwatch project. Don't quote me on this though!
To be honest, this survey is a doddle for me, I can even take part in it whilst sitting here at the computer! The owls are so close. |

It may be possible, but I don't think so. It's certainly not easy to discover from the BTO website.

It'd be a doddle for me too. I could even do it lying in bed! The Owls sometimes wake me up by kewicking outside my bedroom window!

| | | Re: BTO Tawny Owl Survey Lots of kewicking at the front of my house yesterday evening at about 6.30. Don't know what it was all about, but it sounded very enthusiastic.
