I also found an American site full of recipes - http://www.sialis.org/suet.htm | Thankyou for that link May, I'll take a look |

After BSE and stuff you just wonder what you're putting into the food chain. |

to only soften it.Adding anything to liquid lard for instance
is like frying it and will taint the whole lot.Mealworms in suet
are the favourite of robins and dunnocks here.

along with various ingredients such as mixed fruit, chopped peanuts, sunflower hearts etc. Bird Feeding Recipes

| | | Re: Do you have a good recipe for fat balls Basic recipe, wild bird seed, peanuts, raisins, Grated cheese, (Robins love cheese) pie crusts, bacon rind, suet, lard, or beef dripping.
I followed this recipe, and put it in a yoghurt pot, while I was tying it to the tree, it just fell out. I left it on the floor, and it was gone the next day.
Or, how about pouring in the fat from the sunday roast chicken ? | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
