I read somewhere they they were on the Isle of Wight in historical times. It would be great to see them back there!

I didn't think you would Seamus but it has happened before. Always best to be safe than sorry.
It's great that these birds are doing so well, I'm not sure about the Isle of Wight though. I can think of better places to give them a start.

without going into too much detail ,the isle of wight ,and the south coast of england is a good start to repopulate western europe!!!

I thought you were talking about the Rugby League team from Manly in Australia for a minute 
I did manage to see an Australian one 2 years ago when I was there on holiday |
