Did you hear them call?? If you did or if you hear them in the future you'll understand there name. Its an umistakable noise. They are great birds as are the Reed Buntings. Full of energy. |

Here's one that took half an hour to finally settle long enough to photograph. 
It kept coming back to the same perch for about 2 seconds then flying off. This time it stayed for about 10 seconds and I got the picture. (Also got soaked lying on wet grass for that half hour!!!) |

Great photo, David, they do keep flitting about don't they?
I haven't quite got into the lying on the ground for photos thing yet (might have to if I want to get any good shots of fungi! ... tell a lie, I did do a bit of sprawling around when I went to take some pix of orchids at Aston Clinton ragpits, was nice and dry then though  )
