| | | Green Woodpeckers eyeing each other up?? I went for a walk today at a local nature reserve, and there wasn't much about until I scanned the fence posts and saw a Green woodpecker, then two posts apart there was another one (they had their backs to me), about four or so fenceposts the other way were another two facing me this time. I had only ever seen one before so to see 4 like this was fantastic, do you think they were picking a mate? |

| | | Re: Green Woodpeckers eyeing each other up?? It's possible as it is around about the time when they will be starting to pair off.
Lucky you, we have had a couple of sightings of Green Woodpeckers in my area but I have yet to see any.
