just need confirmation that this is a Goldeneye duck. I'm 90% sure it is but they are not a duck I've seen that often let alone in flight so need to be sure.
Sorry about the quality the light was poor when this was taken.

Whisby is good for these at the moment.There's quite a large group of them close to the two hides, I managed to get a few shots of them displaying, a sight that's always worth seeing. |

absolutely no question it's a Goldeneye: interesting to see the white secondaries from below - from above the coverts make that white area even bigger and more distinctive (extending almost to the leading edge) - the rest of the wing looks very dark from below
