| | | GS Woodpeckers - Do both sexes drum? Woke up yesterday morning to the sound of a drumming woody outside. We see a couple around at times, and a youngster has come to our feeders in the past. I went out to investigate and could clearly hear it was 2 different birds; one quite close and another further away. I always assumed the drumming was only males and a territorial thing. Was it 2 males or could it be a courting pair? |
