| | | Gurt hawk in the garden! Greetings WAB readers,
I reviewed the Gallery for a while early today and was really impressed by the superb range of images that have been uploaded there - well done to all the contributors. The birds of prey section alone contains some great shots of a long list of species, and many depict interesting behaviour too.
Anyway, I came across this exciting (but rather explicit - sorry!) image taken by 'sometimes' back in October 2007.
Is there something in the water up there in West Yorkshire that promotes Sparrowhawks to grow as big as this?

Its not easy to tell when there is only a bit of leylandi in
the background to give reference. |

Maybe you could get a measurement from the foot to the left-hand side? |

| | | Re: Gurt hawk in the garden! Looks about normal for a female sprawk to me. Not sure it's a Jackdaw, maybe even a Crow, albeit a small one! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
