| | | Re: Gigrin Farm Thanks eeyore..sadly, my photograhic attempts will be restricted to my little point-and-press kodak z740...looking mainly for best vantage points, whether there are any other worthwhile places to check out while on site and such like. All titbits welcome!

| | | Re: Gigrin Farm If you are having a full day out then arrive early and have a drive round the Elan Valley first before going to the farm - you may see kites out over the moors esp if its getting close to midday as they start flying in towards Gigrin from surrounding areas. Its a beautiful valley and I particularly like the top end after the reservoirs where it is just wild wild moorland - hope the weather is good and shows it all off to its best! At the start of the valley keep your eyes and ears open for displaying peregrine - esp in the cliff area to the right of the first ressy. Enjoy - wish I was going!

| | | Re: Gigrin Farm Thanks for your posts, folks. We had a Grand Day Out...the Red Kites were stunning, the Elan Valley was gorgeous (and yes, we saw a peregrine over the cliffs!), and the weather was superb.
