I would imagine that daffy66's post received no replies at the time because either (a) no one knew of any locations, or (b) no one knew of any locations that they felt should be shared publicly (perhaps a combination of the two).
I am sure that most people who use WAB do agree that details of locations where certain species can be found should
not be broadcast - though in this case, because photography was not specifically mentioned (even though it may have been the intention), it may have been possible to suggest sites where Barn Owls could be viewed from reserves etc (where views may be distant, and good enough for a birdwatcher even if of little use to a photographer).
Barn Owls, like Kingfishers, are a bird species that is very popular as a 'target' for photographers - and one that can unintentionally be disturbed by them if they do not know the subject well enough.
Secrecy over the sites where they breed is to protect the birds, and for no other reason.
