Female Tufted Duck..with a difference!

We have a few pairs of Tufted Ducks on Bakewell river ATM but this female caught my eye.
She had a white flash that I've never seen on a female before!

As I tried to get a shot of the male, this cheeky Canada Goose stuck his head in front of the camera!

Well that's a funny one! a female Goldeneye is one of the few ducks that come to mind that have a white flash near to that place. But it's not one of them. poss an escaped bird from an exotic collection

They do have a white stripe on the wing but it doesn't usually show when the wing is folded.I think its probably a normal tuftie but maybe its just the position of the wing.

Then again maybe it's not, but there are a few in the Gallery showing the same stripe.

If you google female Tufted Duck in flight, you'll see this white patch showing as a wing bar. On most photos however, where the duck is sat on water, it appears to show only very rarely.
