| | | Re: Little egrets in North Wales My dad and I have spotted a pair of Little Egrets in the farmers field next to the river on King street in Mold, Clwyd. There's also a huge grey heron (seriously... its massive), a Buzzard & A Kingfisher on the opposite side of the road (can be seen from the bridge).

| | | Re: Little egrets in North Wales well there's a god couple of hundred round the dee estuary, which is technically Wales if you're standing on the correct bank, so i wouldn't be too surprised if they became a much more regular sighting in north Wales over the next few years. |

Spent today birding around the Fylde in areas one would expect to encounter many little egrets - I haven't seen one all day. The severe weather has driven many egrets away from their usual haunts, expect them to turn up in unusal places perhaps.
