Willow Warbler?

Just to throw the spanner in the works. There was a singing Willow Warbler near Sandy on 19/02/09.

Ok so that's truly confusing. So it's a slim chance that possibly I did hear this bird, but I'm still going to say chaffinch. I simply can't be sure enough. Of course I have no idea where Sandy is, but I presume it's in England?

Sandy is a few miles east of Bedford.

ah ha, got it now. I'm not native to the UK - I'm from the US, so I'm still learning where things are. So a good 3-4 hrs away from where I am in Wales, so I suppose not out of the realms of possibility anyway. Going to have to take another walk in that area over the weekend and see if I can't hear it again.
