| | | Re: Birds You Wish To See I have always wanted to see a puffin.
I have been mant times to Pembrokeshire but always with people who don't like boats so haven't got to Skomer but I have promised myself I will some day.
I know they are on Lundy but can't get there either.
Does anyone know if there is a mainland site where I could see them?
One of my favourite birds to see is the gannet, whatching them dive into the sea and seing their egg yolk faces is always a thrill. |

On 'the bird you most want to see' up until two years ago I would have said a Hoopoe... I hadnt been in Spain thirty minutes when I saw my first... and earlier this year I saw so many BeeEaters.. I was spoilt for choice. So that leaves me with an unknown bird I saw as we drove past it in Spain.. huge and blue... my sister (who lives there ) tells me the are migrant from Africa... Guess where I am going on holiday again next year?
PS. I beleive a hen harrier or two have been spotted on the marshes too |

For mainland Puffins, try either South Stack on Anglesey or Bempton Cliffs in Yorkshire although it is a bit late now for this year.
