| | | Latin names Does anyone know where I can download a list of bird names and their Latin names so that I can copy and paste. Being dyslexic I have enough problems with british names let alone Latin.
Thanks.

Dai | You can do a search for the bird name on google it will usually go to the RSPB site and they list the latin name or just use the WAB search function then copy and paste.
If you need any help just ask.

I have 'plant names explained' but it really only scratches the surface. Learning scientific (coz they're not always latin ) bird names it helped soooooo much though to know what the words actually meant! |

| | | Re: Latin names Try this for birds http://www.bou.org.uk/recbrlst1dna.html
The only downpoint is that it is not arranged in alpha order. However I copied it into Word and got that to sort for me.

| | | Re: Latin names A while back, I came accross a downloadable spreadsheet that gave you the names of all British animal species. But I can't for the life of my remember where it was! Doh!
Might be worth doing a search for similar. I'm sure they're out there! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
