| | | Scruffy the Robin. Hi guys, i want to share this moment with you.
About three years ago my wife and i noticed this scruffy looking Robin around the garden, he/she was so friendly he would come really close, about the same time there was a wildlife prg on the TV about Robins aggressive nature to one another and they showed how this guy was hand feeding a Robin with meal worms.
So off we go searching for live meal worms, and guess what, within three days the little Robin was eating out off our hands.
.
We made a rod for our own back though as scruffy would actually come inside the house to let us know he wanted feeding, we only had this pleasure for one season and scruffy disappeared after that never to be seen again.
Even now, every time i think of scruffy i get a real buzz.
Mark.

We had a tame Robin i.e. it would come to hand for food (mealworms) for a season. I think it had some hungry chicks to feed.
Your right though the males are real fighters and very territorial.

He wasn't so adorable when he came into the lounge and sat on the TV singing for his grub, but decided to leave me a little present on my brand new telly, still loved him though.
