| | | My Silly Idea :) Hello Again,
I was walking through River Side Country Park with my Dad. There were Birds we had never seen before way out in the sea but i had no way of taking a picture of them with my compact, the best thing i could do was just look at them through the binoculars. Then i had an idea, i took my camera and binoculars and put them together, my camera lens easily fitted into the eye peice of binoculars without scratching either. I then holding both in my hand focus on the birds and looking at my LCD screen, it took liked i could almost touch them. Throughout the day I was getting pictures with a zoom I didnt bother guessing.
These brent geese where so far away but as you can see from the picture, of decent quality. I didnt care that i looked a bit of a wally holding a camera in a pair of binoc's. I was just glad I could keep up with the super zoom cameras
The only trouble was holding the camera still. Also it was hard to find the birds as the magnification was so high, your looking trying to find the birds but there is a big red thing across the screen, then you relise its a shelducks beak.

| | | Re: My Silly Idea :) this is actually a great idea. I think its called digibinning. I could never afford a super zoom camera so tried it one day but it didn't work for me as I'm rubbish for keeping a steady hand! |

| | | Re: My Silly Idea :) Great idea Connor, and the images are good too - but then again I may be biased as I use an inverted binocular lens as a make-shift Macro !! Keep at it Connor, bins work well and your steady hand shows |
