| | Re: Spot the bird 2 well... i have had a look and i think there is some kind of duckling coming to the surface (so only head and beak visible)- bottom box and there is some kind of bird- dont ask me what, in the top box....it looks white with blue on wings!
they are probably just leaves! haha

| | | Re: Spot the bird 2 Could be a Green Sand in bottom right of Robin's pic .... doesn't seem to have the white shoulder patch of a Common Sand and looks quite dark. Have to say, not a clear pic but guess that's the idea!! (Perhaps better for Common though thinking about it, having enlarged the pic, I'm probably just looking at fuzz rather than plumage and angle is obscuring shoulder patch!)

Yes it is a Green Sand, quite a pale one. There is nothing else in the photo afaiaa.
This is a clearer shot of the same bird (behind the Moorhen!)
