I bought myself a new DAB radio just after Xmas and the very first channel it tuned itself to was "Bridsong" which appears to be nothing more than a continuous loop of chatter from different birds - some of them I can make out the species, but by no means all. Quite interesting all the same.
Still doesn't beat the real thing though... |

The birdsong channel is a test transmission for a new radio station, although this has been like this for months. |

the dawn chorus starts around 3am round here, very early birds, it's still pitch black. Its nice to hear but when you work nights the large gang of magpies are a little annoying  |
