Is it? I thought that at first but all the other Coots had red on their heads not white? I didn't know there were two kinds. 
I think i may be getting confused with the Moorhens I thought they were the same as Coots. I have little knowledge of water birds.

The one's with red on their heads would have been Moorhens.

Their feet are fascinating, especially in close up. I'd put a link to a photo but I am never sure whether I ought to post outside links.
