| | | Attracting Birds into my Garden. I've long moaned about the lack of bird life in our very small garden, but really we don't do too badly.
I've just finished with my latest work of art, the first picture shows my complete set up, including my brilliant 'hide', alias Garden shed with a hole in it!
I have to thank Pauline, (PMG) for the latest addition, the nearest branch and support. It was her idea and it works! Within a day of finishing it, the bird were there using it, I was chuffed.
This morning I managed a few shots.
At last I've got a way of getting the birds out of the gloomy background! |

| | | Re: Attracting Birds into my Garden. The pictures are lovely i have to take pictures of the birds from my kitchen window..I have a lot of birds just the common ones and the odd visit from a sparrowhawk...I grow lots of plants for them to feed on so my garden is quite active..and i also have them in the roof..waking us up with their singing !! |

So what's in the peep-hole shed? Plenty of tea-making equipement I hope! |

| | | Re: Attracting Birds into my Garden. Hi graham
Don't you listen to them it's a great job, even with the barcode on that Alan said.
No garden shed should be without tea making equipment one of the first things to go in.
I know it will hard for you to force yourself to sit up there all the time, like they say it's a tough job but someones got to do it

| | | Re: Attracting Birds into my Garden. Interesting. Like Wildflower I, too, take pictures through my kitchen window. The branches are a really good idea. My birds wait in the bushes (evergreen, unfortunately) to get on to the feeders. Branches like yours would really bring them out in the open.
I also have all my feeders together on a pole (if you recall, I have squirrel problems). It would be much better if I separated them out a bit.
I love your long-tailed tit pictures. I get them occasionally but have never been able to get a picture. They are one of my favourite birds. Do you know what they prefer to eat? I would love to get them on my feeders.
