Hi all
We are brand new to this site
To get my 13yr old off computer games we bought him a compact digital camera and he now accompanies me whenever I go out with our husky.
We both take our camera's and have been photographing the wildlife in our local field, it's fun trying to get pictures of different birds and because of this Connor never misses a trip.
From our muddy field we've so far taken picture's of 20 plus different birds, we are getting good at identifying them and know where we are most likely to spot particular birds at particular times. We know where the local Kestrel's to be found, what bushes the Greenfinch's prefer, where the Tit's hang out etc.
Because we only have compact camera's you have to get pretty close to get a picture, most times the birds seem always to be one bush in front of the one we're standing behind

We do get some good shot's though but maybe only 2 out of 50

still it's fun and we're outside.
We got back this morning and had the usual shots of the Kestrel, Chaffinch, Robin's, Tit's [didn't get the pic of the Long Tailed Tit though

] Greenfinch's etc and one other. This bird was very briefly in the top of a bush and I got one picture, I only see it for seconds but swear it was bigger than a Wren although it's very Wren like.
I don't mind ticking Wren off of our growing lists of birds pictured but it would be nice if it was something a little different, here's the pic [it's the only one I got]
Thanks for your help in advance and I'm now off to explore the rest of this sit
