| | | Yorkshire Dales birds Just a pointer for those who birdwatch (or plan to) in the Yorkshire Dales, I have just bought a book called 'Birdwatching Walks in the Yorkshire Dales' and it really is excellent. If you like to combine birdwatching with a decent walk in the hills and dales (like I do) this book is spot on. If you like sitting in hides all day, it isn't.
It also gives information on where to see some of the 'star' birds of the National Park, a few of which many would not know can be found there perhaps.
Regards, Chris |

| | | Re: Yorkshire Dales birds Yes, I saw this book in Otley and it looked good, although it was full price in a discount bookshop so I didn't buy it! But that's my problem. Certainly will get it if I see it for under a fiver. |

Regards, Chris | Some amazing areas to cover, and it must be bigger than some countries. Lots of countries. I must look out for it. Does it cover Nidderdale and areas outside the National Park? |

It doesn't stick to the constraints of the National Park boundary.

| | | Re: Yorkshire Dales birds Hmmm, sounds a great book! I'm hoping to get to the Y.Dales this year to do some walking, so would very much like a copy.
Will keep my eyes peeled
