Nest boxes..Help please

I am trying to encourage as many family and friends to put at least one nest box in their gardens this year. Any ideas what would be best, maybe a tit box I thought. I bought the first in Wilkinsons, however I noticed that it might a bit difficult to clean because it didn't have a hinge on the lid. Also a bulk buy of them may prove to be cheaper as I will supply them (and probably fit them)! Any ideas??

Your local Wildlife Trust may have a local supplier who would do you a bulk order are a good rate. And he/she would work to good specifications including opening lid for cleaning

Our local Country park usualy has a day when you can go and make your own nestboxes They supply the wood and show you how to do it.So its wrth seeing if others do the same.
