| | | Dartford Warbler from the autumn Finally got around to uploading these I had the good fortune to snap on a sunny day last autumn. The darty had been a bit of a bogie bird for me really. They are quite prevalent on one of my local and frequently visited patches but I'd never managed to capture one with the camera. This little guy was no more than about 7 metres away and seemed entirely unconcerned about my presence or fumbling with the camera to get the shots! |

| | | Re: Dartford Warbler from the autumn Great shots Nigel, I've been waiting for the spring to try and get some shots of these myself. I'll be lucky to see them though let alone get any decent photos. |

| | | Re: Dartford Warbler from the autumn Nice work Nigel
Sadly they are one of the species which suffer high mortality rates during severe winters so there may not be quite so many around come the Spring

| | | Re: Dartford Warbler from the autumn I've been feeling really sorry for all our birds but especially these little fellas local to me. The cold and frozen conditions dont bode well.
They can be tough to see, but I believe that's just because of the way they forage rather than any inherent shyness. They'll hop around fairly close without a care in the world if you're just in the right place at the right time. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
