| | | Re: Kingfisher thats a lovely find Alison - was it fishing ? - I always find time just disappears when watching something like that.
Brought back some great memories!
Cheers

| | | Re: Kingfisher I think he was fishing. He was sitting on a branch above a couple of ducks (or something). He flew off, closely followed by a second one. I did hang around incase he came back, but no luck. Never mind, I saw a beautful fox! See my post in general wildlife forum!! |

| | | Re: Kingfisher They are great little birds to watch. There was a nest overlooking one of the hides at Slimbridge in the summer and we spent hours watching them come and go. Sadly when they perched they were just too far away to get any decent pictures.
Also saw one at our local nature reserve for the first time last week - only a few feet away but as I lifted the camera he flew away and did not return

| | | Re: Kingfisher Well spotted Alison
It's always an uplifting experience to see a Kingfisher. They must surely rank as one of the UK's most captivating birds, all the more so because of their shyness and elusiveness.
I've taken more than 8,000 Kingfisher photos over the last few years but I'm still thrilled every time I see one.
