| | | Re: Barn Owls They are fine shot Alison, as you say, you are a novice and will improve with practice.
You are also lucky in actually seeing them instead of hearing them every night.

| | | Re: Barn Owls Well done alisonclair! It's always difficult to capture birds in flight.
It's always a thrill to see a Barn Owl hunting, too. |

| | | Re: Barn Owls A good effort Alison - as Pete says flight shots can be tricky.
Still, in Woodnewton you should be able to get plenty of practice with Red Kites

| | | Re: Barn Owls Aah yes, Red Kites - my boyfriend has literally hundreds of photos!! They are here every day. I keep putting chicken carcasses in the garden and up my allotment trying to get them to come down. So far, no luck, although they do circle!!
Just has a look at your website Jeff. Beautiful pictures. May be interested in buying one of a kingfisher for my mum. She loves them. |

| | | Re: Barn Owls Novice or not, you have captured the essence of a barn owl hunting - such beautiful birds and hard to photo in flight.Well done and keep at it!! |
