| | | sparrowhawk I thought I'd share with you all this sparrowhawk that visited my garden yesterday morning. He is often knocking about but never landed on top of my bird feeders. He flew in and along some hedges you would struggle to get your arm through. He made three failed attempts to catch something. must be hard for birds of prey also at this time of year and with the snow.
photos taken through my window, handheld and iso 800 so they are not brilliant. |

| | | Re: sparrowhawk Nice work Dudley
We have male and female Sparrowhawks visiting the garden on a regular basis - with 'signs' (ie. scatterings of feathers and/or bits of pigeon carcass ) of their visits at least twice a week.
However, I've yet to capture a decent photo of them and usually just get a fleeting glimpse as they dart through the garden.

| | | Re: sparrowhawk These are very good shots of a beautiful bird. Well done on getting them.
I have one that visits now and again but he/she never perches anywhere where it's possible to get a shot of it much to my annoyance.
