| | | my first water rail hi all,
i went out with a friend birding today at keyhaven,hants and was happy to see my first water rail!
not the best pic as it was a bit far out but im happy to have seen it,
infact i had a really good day today i also saw my first snipe and my first marsh harrier (couldnt get pics of them  )
we saw 37 different speicies today including maganser,kingfisher,brent geese,redshank,greenshank,bunting,meadow pipits,raven,oyster catchers,godwit,curlew,dunlin,lapwing the list go's on and on.......
best day birding for along time

Water Rail are usually quite elusive, so I think you did well to get any photograph at all. |

| | | Re: my first water rail How fab  I love water rails, very hard to photograph as they do tend to skulk and merge, I think I took around 10 pics last week, only one was any good and that was centrally obscured by juncus
