| | | Re: how can i attract siskins? We put up a niger seed feeder for the Goldfinches. Then the Siskins moved in and we now have four feeders being emptied every couple of days!!
That one Siskin has now moved to a small flock! Give them a try.
regards.

| | | Re: how can i attract siskins? Obviously they have to be in the general area- trees like alders, various conifers with small seeds such as larches will attract Siskins. Then as others have said nyger + sunflower hearts are liked. |

| | | Re: how can i attract siskins? Siskin are never too far from alder and alder is never too far from water. My siskin in old house loved nuts in the feeder, the ones I have here love the nuts but also are devouring the sunflower hearts. Bless

| | | Re: how can i attract siskins? Where have you got your niger feeder - I only ask as I had mine in the garden for about 6 months and nothing went near it.
I've now moved it into the trees behind the house and there are loads of them. I've been slowly moving it back towards the house and the finches and siskins are following it.
They seem to like being on their own. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
