| | | US bird caught with it's beak in the till. I was sent these images today. It appears that the owner of an automatic car wash in America was having money stolen from the machine so he set up a hidden camera to try to catch the thief.
These, rather poor quality photos, shows what was happening.  
Not sure of the species. It looks like an American form of Starling. A large number of coins was found on the car wash roof and scattered amongst nearby trees. |

| | | Re: US bird caught with it's beak in the till. Wow, very interesting but why do they do it? I understand that magpies also 'steal' bright objects, but what for? As for the starling, it must have gone right inside the machine to get its booty, such a lot of effort for what reason??
