| | Little Egret Roost I heard that Little Egret were roosting on an island at my local lake.
Within 15 minutes of watching this evening 17 came in to roost - I was over the moon |

| | | Re: Little Egret Roost I normally see 2 or 3 really regularly in the upper reaches of the River Wey near Alice Holt Forest: that's in the Winter.
They're a much more occasional sight in summer, but I saw one today.
I have a suspicion thay may nest & if so it would be with the grey heron colony i Birdworld I guess. Must check this out.
And the Fishing Bailiff on the river ,(who clearly spends a lot more time there than do ) reckons there are 36 individual birds along the stretch from approx Alton to Farnham!!
