Wet water for the birds!

Equipment required: [1] large green/black flowerpot (as you find in Sainsburies foyer and filling stations). [2] a paraffin lamp (normally found in the old style road works lamps- the youngsters may not know what I'm on about) ! [3] a porcelain/crockery type bowl [4] 3 small stones.

Cut a 1" hole as near as you can to the centre of the flowerpot base, place the lamp on the ground and light it trying to get as small a light as possible, place the three small stones around the lamp and place the flowerpot on top of the stones, place the shallow pot on top of the upturned flowerpot and fill with water. I'll tell you if it lasts the night tomorrow! Cheers, Tony.
