With the freezing weather we have at the moment there is very little open water for any type of wildfowl. I came across these guys this afternoon, they had found a small piece that was ice free where a pipe runs into a drainage ditch, they were diving under the ice and managing to find a few small fish.
Hope it warms up soon and makes life a little easier for them.
On the way home I parked up where I had seen a small covey of Partridges feeding every afternoon for a week or so, after a short wait, sure enough they turned up and I managed to get a few pics before the light went.
As a bonus they had a hen Pheasant with them.
They all appear to be in very good condition and not suffering from the cold weather.
