Bethlehem

I was in Bethlehem this week and there was some 15 to 20 kites flying above me perhaps only 20 foot at times. I wander if perhaps the cottage to which they were flying above had occupants that feed the birds.

I imagine it would make a fantastic opportunity for anyone that wanted to photograph such birds as I have never personally seen them so close up.

As you were in the area did you go to the feeding station at Grigrin farm?

I think there are a growing number of areas in the UK where you can see Red Kites in impressive numbers. They seem to be a real conservation success story.

No I was just driving around taking a look around the area for visits at a later date.

Is it worth going to?

Yes if you want to see a lot of kites. Especially in the winter. There's usually quite a large number, maybe in excess of 80! The sky is full of them.
