magical experience

i had a fantastic experience today, i took some seed out with me on a walk around a marsh, and sure enough, there were robins there. so i put some seed on my hands and held it out (and so did my mum, the subject in the photos) and they came and landed right on my hands. absolutely magical.

its always magical isn't it. I was about the same age when there were a load of white pigeons on my hand eating seed at Lake Windermere.

those have only had minor alterations to how they came off the camera: a little bit of sharpening and fiddling with the contrast, but nothing drastic

Good pics. Robins do become quite used to people over time and can appear very tame.

Reminds me of the time I had Chaffinches and Blue Tits standing on and feeding from my hands at Fairholmes CP and Visitor Centre near the Ladybower Reservoir.
