water rail + others

My mate and i went out today to pick his dog up from a boarding kennel in suffolk "its a bit out in the sticks" he says to right it was but what a drive we saw a water rail run out into the middle of the road stop turn round and dart back into the hedge, a pair of Bullfiches, a small hawk that flew along the road in front of us which looked suspiciously like a merlin? a couple of hares a rowe deer a fox and once again 1 lonley waxwing not bad for a drive just to pick a dog up i thought.Oh yea and i nearly forgot a flock of about 20 magpies.

Before december 2007 i had never seen them and then I saw one on the 31st, 1 on the 1st of jan, 1 on the 4th and two on the 27th

and havent seen one since
