Hi Everyone, we went for a walk around Upton Warren this morning. As we pulled up there were quite a few cars arrived & people with big lenses & scopes gathering. Something must be happening here I thought  . We went for an amble around the flashes, & twitchers were all facing towards Webbs garden center. We didn`t see too much. When I got home curiosity got the better of me & I found out that there is a flock of Waxwings at the entrance to the garden centre. None of the birders there today looked like they had spotted any though.

They've made it even further south than this, to Newport in Wales, which I find fantastic. If I weren't so sick I'd be chasing these little beauties. Lucky for you to see these lovely birds!! |

Waxwings spotted stoke on trent country park.Report was in The local paper with a photo of the twichers and scopes.

Sadly,I was one of those birders looking for those illusive Waxwings at Upton Warren today -no show! O well keep trying.

I hope you have better luck tomorrow if your planning to try again! I'll try and be up there on Tuesday, just hope they stick around!
