| | | Re: Kingfisher Diary (with photos) poll Thanks natureguy and Dave P for your comments/suggestions.
I guess that at 41 to 1 in favour (the current poll standing) I really can't get out of it and, following the majority view, a new Diary thread it is then for 2009 but with a link to the earlier one.
Now, where are those Kingfishers...............

PS. and natureguy, if you're interested here's a link to last year's Barn Owl Diary - Barn Owl Diary (with photos) |

| | | Re: Kingfisher Diary (with photos) poll I voted in favour a while back, but thought I'd leave a comment too.
I've thoroughly enjoyed reading the kingfisher diaries and would really like more. No two years will be the same, so to read how things change over an extended period of time is fascinating. And not too many people have the expertise or opportunity to observe, photograph and chronicle kingfisher life like you do, Jeff. |

I didn't realise that, Ron? My sighting of a kingfisher a couple of weeks ago down at Pagham harbour makes a bit more sense now - I thought it seemed like an odd habitat in which to see it at the time (flying over the reedbeds that border the mudflats), having only previously seen kingfishers flying along streams inland.
Anyway, have voted 'yes' - I wasn't aware of the diary thread originally, but will definitely be bookmarking it for future reading!
