| |  redwings in my garden
i was looking out the window today, when i noticed a couple of birds in the willow tree, that didn't look like anything i'd seen in my garden before.
after hurriedly fetching my binocs, i had a good look at one, and i have confirmed it was a redwing 
i love these birds, and i do hope they come back |

no dim day and the sun was behind them  but i'm still pleased they were here maybe i'll get some pictures if they return  |

They're lovely aren't they We have had a flock on the yew tree outside work for a few days now. From one of the windows I watch them from only 5-6ft away without them knowing I am there!

sounds great! i've only seen them in the woods before, so i'm quite pleased with that
i count that at 28 species (that i know of) in my garden now |

Sure they weren't Fieldfares mate? I thought I had Redwings but it turned out they were Fieldfares!

nope! they were redwings (though i would be equally please with fieldfares) i saw the 'red wing' and the stripe on the eye line |

Were they feeding on berries I get one or two on my cotoneaster.
