| | | Food for Long Tailed Tits A couple of years ago I set up a feeding station to photograph small birds, using peanuts. I got some great shots of blue tits, great tits and woodpecker too, but even though there were long tailed tits around my hide they would never come down to the feeders - very frustrating!! Does anyone have experience of the long tails favoured food. I would think they are happy enough with peanuts.. but maybe they prefer something else..? |

| | | Re: Food for Long Tailed Tits fat bealls with lots of little seeds and broken up peanuts in the mix work pretty well specially if you habg them in relatively big bushes - they travel in family flocks and you often see them pass over littler bushes as they won't fit the full flock.

| | | Re: Food for Long Tailed Tits Yep, fat balls for mine too. They also like the suet blocks as well. When winter really sets in, they'll go for the peanuts as well. |
